v1.0

Good evening everyone!

Thought I'd update you all on what's included in this new update.

First thing worth mentioning, is that this update comes in Mac and Linux flavors! Once the prototype is complete I want to publish the game on all three of these platforms. However, during development, I will only be releasing experimental updates for Windows.

One of the changes you will no doubt notice right away is a big improvement in the tonemapping. I have created a custom LUT specifically for Into The Darkness, which I have tried to make as close to life as possible.

I have also spent some time implementing a fairly simplistic water physics for the maintenance shaft area underneath the starting location (gate 4). This is to prepare for an upcoming expansion of that area in a later update.

I have introduced audio reverb zones for the different rooms in the bunker, which should really help to add that extra level of realism and immersion. The big bulky vault doors now have suitably loud closing and opening effects too.

Sounds in the world will no longer continue to play while the game is paused. Additionally, the sound files themselves have been tweaked to improve performance.

The computer has been revamped with a new easier to use interface. There are now three main programs; toggle, text input, and read. Which is a big improvement over the previous command input and response system.

Lastly, the interaction system has been completely redesigned. It should now be a lot more efficient and reliable going forward. Specifically, issues with interactions triggering multiple times in the same frame, or for the incorrect objects being targeted should all be fixed now.
