Into the Darkness

Summary

Into the darkness is a first-person survival horror game where you explore a recently abandoned, secret underground bunker to uncover what went wrong.

Please note that this project is still in development and is meant only to be a proof of concept. Core features such as enemies and objectives are still missing.

Radiation

In the game, the presence of radiation is indicated by the ticking of your player's Geiger Counter. The frequency of the ticking increases with the level of radioactivity.

There are two types of radiation in the game: alpha and beta. Beta radiation is blocked as soon as it hits any kind of obstruction; such as a wall. Gamma radiation, on the other hand, is more dangerous, as it's able to pass through any obstruction in its path. However, its intensity is reduced each time it does so.

To combat radiation you can use Potassium Iodide tablets. These reduce radiation exposure, but only for a limited time. These can be found when searching wooden supply chests scattered around the bunker.

The negative buffs caused by radiation have not yet been implemented.
